The Center for Foreign Languages is a leading foreign language center in the Mekong Delta regions. Established in 1991, the Center is dedicated to teaching that meets the growing needs and the highest quality of teaching and learning of foreign languages, and to providing courses of English, French, Japanese and Korean for learners and individuals who need to improve their foreign language skills to study and conduct research at university or in their workplaces. The Center offers Vietnamese courses to foreigners who need Vietnamese for their own needs and purposes. The Center also provides students with an opportunity to fulfill their English language requirements and earn credits toward a certificate, improve their professional development and overseas studies through IELTS, TOEIC, TOEFL ITP preparation courses of all levels, both on the university campus and off-campus.
The Center has been an IELTS test site authorized by British Council since 2007, a test center for TOEIC, AND TOEFL ITP tests by IIG-Vietnam representative since 2009, and a test site for Practical Japanese Language Proficiency Application Test (TOP J) since 2014.
The Center has a teaching staff of more than 200 experienced and highly qualified lecturers, mostly from the university and other higher education institutions in the regions. The Center also has bilateral cooperation with foreign organizations and universities to welcome volunteers and experts who help to enhance the teaching staff’s professional development and training.
Located in three campuses of the University, most of the classrooms of the Center are equipped with air-conditioners and LCD projectors. Learners can get free Internet access to the 24-seat computer lab.
In addition to Hoa An, a university off-campus, the Center offers English language programs with its district partners in Ninh Kieu, Binh Thuy, and Thot Not; and has joint programs with other affiliations and academic units in the community to serve the needs of local people and learners.
The Center always prides in offering the highest quality teaching and learning experiences at an affordable price, which make it one of the top foreign language centers in the Mekong Delta.
